The health costs of intimate partner violence

Presented by SWAG合集College of Business & Economics

Join CBE for lunch, as Dr Dana Hanna discusses the impact of intimate partner violence (IPV) on health costs.

Using the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women鈥檚 Health and linking to administrative records, Dana will look at the profile of Australian women who report experiencing IPV and test the differences in costs associated with out-of-hospital, pharmaceutical-health costs, and hospital stays. She will also provide a picture of the hospital services used by women experiencing IPV compared to the general population.

Carlyn Waters, a Kamilaroi woman who has spent over 20 years in the APS, will host this event. She is a Senior Fellow in the Practice of Business at CBE and recently completed her Master of Business Administration with the College.
