The SWAGºÏ¼¯commencement address is the opening event for new students at SWAGºÏ¼¯. You will hear from inspiring speakers about their university experience and learn how to get the most out of your time at ANU. This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and mingle with the whole SWAGºÏ¼¯community. Registration is essential.

SWAGºÏ¼¯Climate Update 2024

The SWAGºÏ¼¯Climate Update 2024 will bring together experts, policymakers, students and industry to discuss the state of our climate and what can be done to tackle climate change. 

Get your skin checked for summer

As we come into the heat of summer, remember to stay hydrated and be sun smart. 

On a hot summer day, sunburn can start to occur in just under 15 minutes. Overexposure to UV light can increase risk of skin cancer. It is important to be familiar and check your own skin if you notice any changes. Look out for:
- Changes to colour, size, shape or thickness of moles and freckles over period of weeks or months
- Small lumps
- Any wounds that are not healing
Skin-checks are available at the SWAGºÏ¼¯Medical Centre.

Are you an orchestral musician looking to play in the SWAGºÏ¼¯Orchestra in 2024? Or perhaps you have experience playing in big bands and would like to join the SWAGºÏ¼¯Jazz Orchestra in 2024? Open to all SWAGºÏ¼¯students, this will be a flagship ensemble that plays big gigs and works with the finest at the SWAGºÏ¼¯School of Music. Applications close Monday 5 February.
